惠妮休斯頓Whitney Houston最近發了新專輯「I Look To You」，在今年金曲獎上紀曉君演唱了她以往唱紅的這首「The Greatest love of all  」 最偉大的愛，則讓人心動不已。話說天后應該是翻唱始祖，尤其被她唱過的都變成了冠軍單曲，各原唱人的心中不知是否都五味雜陳。包括這首「 The Greatest Love of All」還有後來家喻戶曉蟬聯告示牌排行榜十四週冠軍，喪葬業御用的愛歌「I Will Always Love You」。(後來的花蝴蝶瑪莉亞凱莉也依此跟進每張專輯都來首老歌新唱。)

這首「The Greatest Love of All」原本是1978年「拳王阿里」的電影插曲。同樣在1986年惠妮休斯頓Whitney Houston的首支單曲「You Give Good Love」B面裡不被看好，最後在電台的強力放送下，非但有了好成績最後還另發行了單曲推出。無獨有偶也讓人玩味的是從小在教會唱詩班的她翻唱過的歌名還全都跟Love有關。她的歌聲在歌頌愛的時候是如此有說服力。

正當流行再度走回八零年代，其實以往在商業美學上就常常從八十年代當中擷取靈感，只是今年更甚。光一條內搭褲，可以走紅十年。為什麼大家這麼懷念那個美好的年代呢？除了物質世界的豐足開始達到盛況，另一方面應該還包含心靈的解放與自由。
